July is a colorful month, especially if you grow lilies. They are among my favorite perennial/bulb/tubers. I was very into learning about the endless varieties back in the day, and shopping sales. I love lilies, but they don't love animals. Most are poisonous. Luckily, my cats only like them for shade.
When we bought our land and moved, my favorite lilies moved with me. Here are some snaps, along with a few other fluers blooming throughout this month:
Smells like a Cattleya Orchid, but a whole lot easier to grow.
Cheyenne Spirit Echinachea

Candida Clematis
One of two remaining transplanted clematis.
This one is on the struggle bus. Used to be prolific, with huge white blooms.
It could use more sun.
All my daylilies were transplanted and already need to be split!

Do not recall the name of this Daylily, without looking it up.
It doesn't bloom a lot, but so pretty when it does!

Shaded Barn Front (Impatients)
I used to grow Impatients bareroot IN my pond (waterfall stream).
Now I grow them in pots, and boots.

Epiphyllum Cactus
Started from a small stem section, given to me by my gardening mentor.
Fun fact: His massive parent plant was gifted to the little-big city tropical conservatory!
Yes, I have a plant problem. I inherited it from my mom.
This is me cutting back *^*

Another friend of mine said she had a plant problem too, she just keeps getting them.
They are beautiful.
Your flowers are stunning! I'm thinking about adding some Lilies to my gardens...but not quite sure where yet.
So many beautiful colors and kinds!
My "problem" is no longer over purchasing, altho it used to be. I have a hard time throwing away divided living plants and/or finding people who want them. The dang things keep growing & multiplying LOL!! With that said, I am happy to share my perennials. Shoot me an email, when/if interested :))
Glorious. Every photo is a study. Thank you for sharing the colours, shapes, types and beauty,
I love lilies too, thanks for sharing yours! I just bought 2 daylilies, red blooms, hoping that the deer won't munch them.
One of my sisters loves irises, she is looking for an orange one for me. Irises and lilies are some of the most spectacular blooms. I had a lot of lilies when I lived in Creston, but didn't take any with me, not knowing where we would end up.
Many of the Iris I transplanted are naturalized here. Both are very forgiving perennials. Hmmm, I don't think I have ever seen an orange iris. Sounds beautiful!
So far the deer have left my lilies alone. Fingers crossed they don't nibble buds off on yours.
You have some amazing flowers at your place. So many lilies. That Hymenocallis is so beautiful. They all are. I love that you transplanted some from your previous home. I planted my last child’s placenta under a rose bush at their childhood house. I couldn’t bring the beautiful plant with me, but years later they let me take a start off of it which I tried to cultivate here. It didn’t work for me. 😞 Maybe I’ll knock on the door and see if that rose is still alive there someday and try again.
