good news

I watched a news feature story a few days ago that left a lasting impression on me. I found it so heartwarming that I rewound the TV and watched it twice. The news clip is below, for those of you who did not see it.

Just curious if you have heard of the Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club? I had not. Now I want to watch the movie Concrete Cowboy.

Who knew such an impact could be made with horses ~ in a big city. Good n
ews stories like this gives me all the feels and renews my faith in humanity.

I have never heard of that group. Horses are amazing creatures though so it isn’t surprising.

I saw the movie and loved it. So yes, I knew about this riding club.

Horses touch the soul, young or old. Equine assisted therapy can just be going out to the barn and hanging out with horses. Have you ever watched Chris Cox's show that features his kid's camp? Here is a link to the website that explains it. A lot of troubled youth have found redemption there. https://www.leadchanges.org/

Horses can absolutely be intuitive impactful sensitive animals. For those who let them in.

The part that struck me about this story was that the stables are in the middle of a such big city.

Will check out the Chris Cox link. Thanks all!

I remember reading about that a long time ago, before Concrete Cowboy and was so amazed. Horses are transformative. They have that mustang program in the prisons that’s really cool, too. You forget how hard it is for the average person to get opportunities with these sentient, healing, teaching souls. We should never take it for granted.
