Koda and Nemo turned three on Friday, and Saturday (respectively). It was a pleasant surprise when I got home from work and found out we were indeed making the drive up to Iron Horse. We gave the boys a birthday hug, brushing, and three (of course) carrots apiece. Their humans celebrated by going out to eat afterward, complete with two microbrew cheers - one for Koda and one for Nemo!
Nemo & Koda together as babies. This special photo was given to us by their breeder, Diane.

What?! You didn't even share the birthday beers with them?
Happy birthday to the (almost) big boys!
I don't think they would have let them in the microbrewery lol. Hopefully next year they'll be at home, and we can share a slurp - after we ride!
Thanks Kate, it's been fun watching them grow up.
Happy Birthday boys! I didn't realize these colts came from Diane until I was talking to Bill, the farrier, just the other day! That's pretty cool! I know Diane and a few of her horses. We are in a saddle club together and she always brings her Apps for people to ride in the annual fun show. They do really well.
Happy Birthday to your handsome boys
Thanks Fern & Jessie. Yep, it's a small world. Diane's mare Pistol is Koda's dam, and Nemo's grand dam.
awww Happy Birthday Nemo and Koda !
Rosie's is July 4th, and I have no idea when Bonnie's is so I celebrate on mine. We don't really know exactly how old she is either, except for the vet's estimate based on her teeth.
Thanks for the wishes Jeni. I like the solution you came up with for Bonnie :)
