Oh my goodness! That’s heaven. The tree line at the end of the pastures is very beautiful, too. What were you doing up on the roof? And do your pastures stay green like that without irrigation?

Gorgeous view! Everything looks beautiful from up there or on the ground. And by the way what were you doing on the roof?

Those pastures! I'm "green" with envy! Mine are so rocky and all burned off and my whole place would fit in one of your paddocks.

I wasn't on our roof, I was actually lifted above it. Why did I agree to be lifted above our roof?! For the view, but It was scary! We had some work done on the exterior of the barn & house and they used a bucket lift we rented. It's machinery that has an looong arm that extends, with a bucket that people stand in at the end of it. Taking photos from above, was actually Brad's idea. Pretty sure I had a death grip on the railing the whole time. Especially when the wind would make us sway.

Linda, we do not irrigate our pastures. We've had a decent amount of rain this year, otherwise I am sure they would be drier/browner. Especially with our sandy loam soil. We do however mow them. If you enlarge any of the photos that show the fence line, you can see the lower pasture is half mowed. It got finished yesterday.
