A mystery tree, what can it be?? A wonder that has puzzled me.

This tree I see, every single day.
Lives on the edge of our woods. It has dried blossoms with little hoods!

My last attempt to figure it out, was met with little doubt.
Our DNR guy responded fast.
At last, the mystery tree has an ID!!!
It is an Eastern Wahoo!

That is quite the name! Wahoo, you figured it out! Those are very cute blossoms.
Awesome! I read that this tree is in the family of Bittersweets and burning bush family! Very pretty. Lucky you to find one. I wonder if I've mistaken ones that look so similar to Bittersweet were these too. Aka, Arrow Wood, Spindle Wood, and other cool names!

I will be paying attention to it's seasonal changes. Brad spotted a couple other (much smaller) Wahoo's. I am waiting on our DNR guy to get back to me on invasive status. The internet has conflicting info. It is NOT all true!
